Privacy policy

In short: your files are not uploaded. Every tool processes them only in your browser on your device. We use no cookies, no tracking and no analytics.

2. Processing of your files

When you select a file, your browser reads it locally. PDF files are processed with PDFium, a PDF engine that runs as WebAssembly in your browser. Images are processed with your browser's built-in image functions. The files, their content, any passwords you enter and the results are never transmitted to our server or any other server. When you close or reset the page, all data is removed from your browser's memory. As nothing is transmitted, we do not process any personal data in this respect.

3. Visiting the website

To display the page, our web server processes technically necessary connection data (IP address, requested page, time, browser identifier) on every visit, only for as long as it takes to deliver the page. We do not store access logs with IP addresses. An error log may only be created in case of technical errors; it is deleted after 7 days at the latest. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure and stable operation of the website.

4. Hosting and delivery

The website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. The server is located in Helsinki, Finland (EU). A data processing agreement according to Art. 28 GDPR is in place.

Between your browser and our server sits the content delivery network of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Cloudflare delivers the pages from a data center near you, protects the website against attacks and caches pages and program files. In doing so, Cloudflare processes technically necessary connection data: IP address, requested URL, time, browser identifier and referrer. Your files do not pass through Cloudflare, they never leave your device. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is fast, secure and reliable delivery. A data processing agreement according to Art. 28 GDPR is in place. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; the EU Commission's standard contractual clauses apply in addition. Cloudflare does not set cookies on this website.

5. Local storage in your browser

If you switch between light and dark theme, this choice is stored in your browser's local storage. This is strictly necessary for the function you requested (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG) and is never sent to us. You can delete it at any time in your browser settings.

6. Cookies, analytics and advertising

This website uses no cookies and no analytics, tracking or advertising services. No third-party content such as fonts or scripts is loaded.

7. Contact by email

If you contact us by email, we process your details to handle your request (Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR) and delete them once they are no longer needed, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21 GDPR). You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

9. Changes

We update this privacy policy when the website or the legal situation changes. The version published here applies.
